A venit primăvara?

Alaltăieri am auzit mierlele cântând aşa cum o făceau doar primăvara. Când soarele începea să-şi piardă din dinţi. Când albul zăpezii făcea loc albului ghioceilor. Tot alaltăieri am mai avut parte de o surpriză. Cireşul din grădină a înflorit! A venit cumva primăvara şi nu am aflat?

La ora la care scriu, câţiva prieteni se întâlnesc prin centrul vechi al Bucureştiului. La o bere. N-am ajuns. Şi acasă am ajuns deabia de vreo oră. Ce-i drept, berea nu-mi lipseşte. Aş trăi liniştit şi fără ea. Fără prieteni? E, asta-i altă poveste. Întrebare pentru toţi prietenii: ce ziceti de o cireaşă proaspăt culeasă prin noiembrie-decembrie la Moreni? Fie ea şi degerată. Oricum e doar un pretext pentru a ne întâlni. Ce ziceţi?

K-PAX

Aseară am văzut un film. K-PAX. Drăguţ. Film bun chiar. Cu ceva umor, cu ceva suspans şi o tentă SF. Un film care totuşi te pune pe gânduri şi îţi poate arăta un alt unghi, o altă perspectivă, asupra vieţii. Nu stau să-l povestesc. Nu are rost. Pe scurt povestea este despre modul cum un tip internat într-un ospiciu reuşeşte să influenţeze, în bine, vieţile celorlalte persoane din ospiciu, inclusiv a psihiatrului său.

Sincer, a fost un fel de Zbor deasupra unui cuib de cuci. Dar ceva mai recent. Şi fară vreun Oscar. Dar la fel de sincer, dacă aş fi pus să aleg să revăd unul din aceste două filme, aş alege K-PAX. Fără să clipesc. Mi-a plăcut să-l văd pe Jeff Bridges în rolul psihiatrului. Iar Kevin Spacey a fost magistral. Nu sunt critic de film dar categoric nu a jucat cu nimic mai prejos decât a făcut-o Jack Nicholson în filmul mai sus-menţionat.

Singurul dezavantaj a fost că filmul a durat cam mult. Adăugând şi reclamele filmul început pe la ora zece s-a terminat mult după miezul nopţii. Spre ora unu chiar. Partea plină a paharului a fost că în bunul obicei de a lua canalele la rând înainte de a adormi am văzut că pe TVR tocmai începuse un episod din Anatomia lui Grey. Da! Iar! Bineînţeles că m-am uitat şi la el.

Iar ca bonus la bonus în finalul respectiului episod melodia de fundal a fost una foarte plăcută. Melodie pe care am ascultat-o destul de mult în ultima vreme. Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars.

Super melodie. Super serial. Super film.

I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.

US Open 2010

S-a terminat şi US Open 2010. Rezumat. Cu ce am rămas.

Am rămas cu gesturile lui JJ şi Nole de a se închina după victorii obţinute cu greu.

Am rămas cu câteva meciuri pe care le-aş urmări încă o dată, oricând. La fete, Stosur-Dementieva şi Clijsters-Williams. La băieţi Djokovic-Troicki şi Djokovic-Federer. De fapt, cred că aş revedea orice meci al lui Nole de la acest turneu. A fost mai bun ca niciodată.

Am rămas cu câteva episoade din Anatomia lui Grey. Episoade urmărite pe TVR în paralel cu meciurile de pe Eurosport.

Am rămas cu câteva nopţi nedormite. Sau dormite doar pe jumătate. Dar nu mă plâng.

Am rămas cu convingerea că Nole va fi într-o bună zi #1 mondial.

Am rămas cu un vis ciudat. Se făcea că jucam tenis pe strada unde am copilărit. Stradă în pantă şi pietruită. Meci de dublu. Partener îmi era Nole. Adversari Wilander şi Bahrami.
